Biggest CO2 distribution centre in the world
GO SUSTAINABLE With Advansor
11 MW of capacity
The new distribution center in UK has 65.000 m2 of
warehousing space, all of it cooled and heated solely using CO2
as natural refrigerant.
The building will use sustainable materials and will be equipped with energy efficient technologies such as water recycling, LED lighting, and a building management system to keep track of how the energy is used over time and possible optimizations.
The handover of the warehouse is planned April 2025.

COMBINED COOLING, FREEZING, AND HEATING SOLUTION
Reducing energy consumptions and emissions is always the aim when the German retailer renovates or build new stores and distribution centres. Thus, they wanted an energy efficient and combined cooling, freezing, and heating system providing cooling and freezing for storage and heating for defrosting and floor heating. Besides, the conscious and sustainable choice of adding parallel compression and permanent magnet motors was taken to add further energy savings.
Heat recovery is used for defrosting and floor heating and will help reduce energy consumption making the solution both sustainable and price competitive.
Permanent Magnet Motors
Permanent Magnet Motors compressors have been added to every single rack which will ensure an extra 7-8% energy savings.
A PERFECT MATCH
At first, the contractor was requiring 15 racks but after some optimization, the number was cut down to 11, making it more competitive and energy efficient.
Also, all the racks are standard, factory tested and as plug-and-play as possible.
The lead times were also an important aspect of this project and all the racks were delivered within 4 months.
