Challenges

  • Renovation of the entire refrigeration system, including rack and cabinets
  • The supermarket used a refrigeration system that carried 293 kilograms of the HFC refrigerant R404A corresponding to 1,149 tonnes of CO2 (GWP of R404A = 3,922)
  • Needed a more energy efficient solution

Solution

  • Climate solution including cooling, freezing and heating
  • 900,000 kWh saved per year, equivalent to the annual consumption of 45 Swedish households
  • Heat recovery for hot tap water and to heat up the store
