30% ENERGY SAVINGS FOR NEW BIEDRONKA DISTRIBUTION CENTRE
GO SUSTAINABLE With Advansor

30% energy savings
1 year pay back time

The new distribution center in Stawiguda has 38.000 m2 corresponding to 445.000 m3 storage capacity of modern warehouse space.

The construction uses solutions reducing the impact on the environment, such as intelligent lighting systems adjusting the light to the level of natural light intensity, and the optimal temperature for storing fresh food is based on cooling technology using the natural refrigerant CO2. A sustainable solution also providing 30% energy savings implementing the latest technologies.

The Stawiguda warehouse will be supplying more than 200 stores and is the largest and most modern facility in the network of 17 distribution centers supplying 3,250 stores located in more than 1,100 towns in Poland.

SUSTAINABILITY AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY

COMBINED COOLING, FREEZING, AND HEATING SOLUTION

Reducing energy consumptions and emissions is always the aim when Polish retailer Biedronka renovates or build new stores and distribution centres. Thus, Biedronka wanted a highly energy efficient and combined cooling, freezing, and heating system providing cooling and freezing for storage and heating for defrosting and floor heating. Besides, the conscious and sustainable choice of adding parallel compression and permanent magnet motors was taken to add further energy savings.

Heat Recovery
Heat recovery is used for defrosting and floor heating and will help reduce energy  consumption making the solution both sustainable and price competitive.

Ultra-Low Superheat on MT
The Ultra-Low Superheat Module removes overheating by increasing the evaporation temperature and thereby lower the temperature difference requiring less energy for cooling and thereby saving energy.

SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS

A PERFECT MATCH

A sustainable solution implementing the latest technologies and thereby providing 30% energy savings  compared to a standard booster system. Another great side effect will be less defrosting of the evaporators when the system is operated with higher evaporating temperature.
