Biedronka saves approx. 15%* energy with a total switch to CO2
The Polish discount retailer Biedronka uses MiniBooster to cool more than 600 food stores.
They are retrofitting small-format stores (600-900 m2) to CO2 refrigeration.
This is the largest project of transition from HFC to CO2 in food retail.
End-user: Biedronka (Jeronimo Martins Group)
Segment: Food retail
Background: Retrofitting of small-format stores
(600-900 m2) to CO2 refrigeration
Over 600 MiniBoosters running in Biedronka stores today
Why the MiniBooster
is a perfect match
> High number of small stores that required retro-fitting
> Stores are limited in size
> Pricing had to be competitive
> Stores had to be retrofitted within 10 days each (requires short lead time and short installation time)
> Energy savings of approx. 15%*
> Biedronka is the winner of Accelerate/Europe awards as best in sector Food retail 2019 in Poland
> CO2 competence was important to pass along, therefore Advansor performed extensive CO2 training in Poland and Aarhus. Within 4 weeks over 200 persons were trained.
